A Warm Welcome to Oakfield Methodist Church

We are situated in the heart of Anfield, not far from Liverpool Football Club.

Weekdays our premises are used by Oakfield Day Service, part of United Response, a national charity providing a range of support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or physical disabilities.

The Zimbabwean Methodist Fellowship hold regular services, in our main Church, on a Sunday afternoon. These services are in Shona.

Richmond Baptist also hold their worship, in our large hall, on a Sunday morning

A Message from our Minister

Welcome to the Oakfield Methodist Church Website.

I’m Flip den Uil and the minister of this church and one in Kensington, called Kensington Methodist Church.  I came here in 2010 after finishing my Ministry studies at Luther King House in Manchester.  I am a Deacon, which means that one of my main tasks is trying to help the people in the community outside the church. Sometimes that can be practical help while other times it can be just fulfilling the need of talking with someone.

I was born in The Netherlands, but have lived for the last 30 years in the North West of England. I am married to Angela and we have two grownup children and one grandchild. Before I became a Deacon in the Methodist Church, I worked for a well-known Swedish furniture retailer.

We have worked hard on this website to make you feel welcome before you’ve met us. I hope sincerely that you visit our site again or us in person at the church.

Have a  blessed day,

Deacon Flip.
